It has been revealed that Australian breast milk contains ‘alarming levels of [plastic chemical] contaminants' – raising concern over the health of babies in Australia.

The ABC's 7.30 Report recently looked at the implications of living in a ‘plastic' society – we are literally surrounded by goods which are treated with chemicals, and this has begun to affect other aspects of our daily lives and our well-being. Traces of toxic chemicals are appearing in high levels in breast milk and food. While some countries in Europe have banned the use of these chemicals, there is no such regulation in Australia.
