An Australian documentary examining the development of children, life at 1, has been nominated for the 2007 Logie Awards, in the category of Most Outstanding Documentary.
The documentary
life at 1 draws on findings from the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children, run by the Australian Institute of Family Studies. The study is researching the experiences of 10,000 one- to four-year-old children living in Australia.

Dr Margaret Sims, a member of the editorial committee of the Australian Journal of Early Childhood, published by Early Childhood Australia, was involved in filming the second episode of the documentary, which deals with the effects of stress on young children.
Dr Sims was involved in the documentary through her research into the effects of childcare on young children, as evidenced by the levels of cortisol in children's saliva (a measure of stress).
