5 years to rein in child obesity
The National Obesity Forum has called on government and industry to bring a halt to the rising numbers of overweight and obese children by 2010. The next goal is to halve obesity numbers by 2015.

Ink in baby milk forces recall
Traces of ink have been found in packaged baby milk in Europe, forcing Nestle – the world's biggest food and drink company – to withdraw over 30 million litres of milk from sale in Italy, France, Portugal and Spain.

The UN has released a report which reveals that nearly six million children are dying every year due to hunger and malnourishment.

Depriving babies of cuddles does long-term harm
Research conducted at the University of Wisconsin has suggested that:
‘Failing to give babies cuddles and affection subtly changes how their brains develop, and in later life can leave them anxious and poor at forming relationships.'
