Dec 2005 - UN program for HIV/AIDS orphans

1 December is World AIDS Day.

One startling fact: of the estimated 34 million orphans in sub-Saharan Africa, more than 11 million have lost their parents due to AIDS.

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization has implemented a program to provide essential skills and training to these young children who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
