New Supporting Best Practice – early literacy resources
Early Childhood Australia has expanded its popular Supporting Best Practice web directory to include a brand new section. Early childhood literacy contains over 50 links to the best online early education resources!

Green cleaning at Point Preschool
This article from Safer Solutions on Point Preschool in Oyster Bay discusses the benefits of green cleaning and also explains how to start green cleaning at your service.
Early Childhood Australia profiled Point Preschool as part of the 'Sustainability' issue of Every Child magazine.
Early Childhood Environmental Education Network (ECEEN) conference
Still on a green theme, the NSW Early Childhood Environmental Education Network is calling for presentations as part of the Early Childhood Education for Sustainability Conference, The future begins with early childhood, which will take place on Sydney's Cockatoo Island, 1 November 2007.

Education journal banding survey
Take the quick 6-step online survey
There's still time to participate in the survey conducted by researchers at the University of Newcastle's SORTI centre, working with the AARE to band education journals on the basis of quality, accessibility and impact on the profession.
Early Childhood Australia's own journal, the Australian Journal of Early Childhood, is listed under 'early childhood education'. Please consider AJEC when filling out the survey.

COAG's Human Capital and Health Workforce outcomes
The Industry Skills Council website provides a valuable summary of the health workforce outcomes from the Council of Australian Governments' recent meeting.
Child Care Accreditation System – Public Discussion Forums
The next phase of the development process for the proposed changes to the child care quality assurance system will be a series of Public Discussion Forums. The Forums are to be held in each capital city and, for those unable to attend, a DVD will be available.
Dates, times and venues are listed online. People in the childcare sector or anyone with an interest in the changes to child care quality assurance are invited to attend.
