A new online educational program on climate change has just been released. The program uses an online interface and so is potentially assessable to students all over Australia. It was created by the Australian non-profit environmental education organisation, Gould Group.
Program details
The sustainability program combines teaching materials and an online system, called ‘Sustainability Wiz', that uses measurement and assessment tools to help schools reduce their water and energy use.

Access to sustainability education
Remote Australian schools often lack high-quality environmental education programs due to the cost of face-to-face delivery. The program aims to facilitate wider access to environmental education, potentially to any school with internet access.
Ann-Maree Colburn, CEO of Gould Group, said:
'Climate change is here with us now and educational programs that are aimed at changing behaviour in relation to resource use with consistent national goals and clear messaging can provide an important and effective link to millions of homes in Australia.
'The education process on climate change will mean a crossing of new boundaries to provide Australia with an effective educational approach where on the ground government policies such as water saving, energy use, waste management and home design standards are built into the teaching programs.'
