Pam Linke has been awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) at the Australia Day 2006 Honours.

Pam continues to have a long association with Early Childhood Australia (ECA):

Pam works at Children, Youth and Women's Health Service.

'For service to children ...'

The citation for Pam's Member of the Order of Australia reads:
'For service to children, particularly early childhood development as a researcher and author on parenting skills and infant mental health.'
Congratulations to Pam for this achievement!

This is a great recognition of Pam's work, and is also a positive acknowledgement for Early Childhood Australia and the early childhood field in general.

Other honours for services to the early childhood field were awarded to:

Dr Barbara Piscitelli - Member of the Order of Australia (AM)
Citation: For service to early childhood education as a teacher, to the establishment of programs in cultural institutions for children, and as a collector and curator of children's art.

Barbara was a member of the working party which developed Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics

Mrs Cynthia O'Neill - Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM)
Citation: For service to early childhood education, particularly through programs for preschool children with special needs and their families.
