March 2006 - Policy consultations on child care and work and family |
Tanya Plibersek, Shadow Minister for Work and Family, Childcare and Youth, and Women, is inviting key stakeholders to discuss Labor's policies in these areas.
About the policy consultations
The Australian Labor Party is engaged in a continuing process of talking with industry, business and community about the policies you believe will enhance Australia's productivity, sustainability and cohesiveness.
Last year, Tanya Plibersek had a series of one-one-one consultations in the above portfolio areas, and is now seeking to move to larger group consultations.
Tanya Plibersek will be conducting face to face consultations in every state and territory in the coming months regarding issues relevant to her portfolios – specifically child care issues and work and family issues. These consultations will include public child care meetings, as well as industry and sector based consultations in the areas of work and family, women and youth.
Early Childhood Australia urges its members to attend these discussions.
