Oct 2003 Protecting young children from the impact of family violence and child abuse PDF Print E-mail

An excellent resource relating to young children and domestic violence is available through the National Secretariat of Aboriginal and Islander Child Care.

The invaluable information on this website includes a publication entitled, Through Young Black Eyes which is a large handbook to protect children from the impact of family violence and child abuse.
The publication is geared towards Indigenous children though the information is applicable to all. The publication lists numerous resources and ways of recognising, preventing and coping with the effects of child abuse and domestic violence.

The resources are downloadable from the website of the Secretariat National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC who are part of the NCSF). A truly great resource.
