Contribute to Every Child magazine...

Every Child magazine is aimed at early childhood professionals, parents and carers. The Publications Committee accepts unsolicited articles for consideration, and invites high-quality contributions on all aspects of the education and care of young children from birth to eight.

Given the multidisciplinary nature of the early childhood field, Every Child magazine welcomes submissions from a variety of perspectives, the main criteria being that they provide a contemporary and informative contribution to the early childhood field.

We are interested in... Features and regulars
  • feature-length articles
  • regular articles
  • book reviews
  • profiles
  • news on what's happening in the field of early childhood
  • letters to the editor.
Feature-length articles cover issues relating to the early childhood sector in some depth.

Regular articles are shorter in length and touch on the broad-range of issues affecting the early childhood sector.

Topics Style
We invite authors to submit articles which cover areas such as:
  • child development
  • social-emotional
  • curriculum
  • pedagogy
  • practice
  • parent support/parenting
  • inclusion/diversity
  • transitions
  • management and admin
  • policy/political.

The Publications Committee welcomes suggestions for topics, themed issues and profiles.

Given the audience is some 40,000 practitioners - mainly in child care and preschools - we ask that contributors write in a friendly, but professional manner, rather than a strict academic style.

As we aim to present a bright and attractive magazine that will entertain as well as inform, we encourage you to submit any quality images/illustrations that you would like published with the article.

All articles will be subedited to make sure they conform to our house style.
