TAPS: Exploring Reconciliation in early childhood practice

The latest video in the Talking about practice series—‘Exploring Reconciliation in early childhood practice’ —is now available for viewing. In this two part video, Catharine Hydon talks to three educators about exploring the place of Reconciliation in early childhood education and care practice. It also shows the value of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in educators work and some practical ways to take action.

Getting to know the NQS

It’s finally here! We are very pleased to launch our new video series, Getting to know the NQS. Over the course of eight episodes, this series explores and explains each of the Quality Areas of the National Quality Standard (NQS), including each of the 58 Elements. The series features footage of children and educators in a range of services, along with animation developed for the project—all to keep you interested and engaged!

New NQS PLP Case Studies

A new series of short articles on 'transitions' based on interviews with educators is now available here. In this series of articles, we talk to educators at three different services about how they support children’s transitions, and what children might be learning as they move through periods of change. This series of articles are published on the Case Studies page from the Resources section.
