Important: The Outside School Hours Care Quality Development Program (OSHC QDP) is coming to an end. The last day to register for this training is Monday 30 November 2020. The OSHC QDP was developed in partnership with the NSW Department of Education and the funding period will end on 31 December 2020. As a result, the web page and online resources will be shut down.
We understand how valuable these resources have been for the OSHC sector and we are working on ways that we may be able to support OSHC professionals in the future.
Early Childhood Australia’s Learning Hub is pleased to deliver a comprehensive collection of online professional learning resources under the NSW Department of Education’s Outside School Hours Care Quality Development Program (OSHC QDP).
The Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Quality Development Program is a targeted program funded by the NSW Department of Education and is designed to support quality improvement in the OSHC sector. The program focuses on building the knowledge and capability of educators and service leaders in OSHC services operating under the National Quality Framework (NQF). The development of targeted free, online professional learning has been tailor designed to meet the unique needs of the NSW OSHC services.
Who can access the freely available program?
Educators and services leaders working in Out of School Hours Care settings across NSW can access the free OSHC QDP online professional learning to support their ongoing quality improvement.

Who has developed the OSHC QDP online professional learning?
The online professional learning under the OSHC QDP is delivered by Early Childhood Australia Learning Hub.
Early Childhood Australia (ECA) has been a voice for young children since 1938. We are the national peak organisation in Australia championing the rights of young children to thrive and learn at home, in the community, within education and care settings and through the early years of school. ECA is a well-established provided of professional learning to the education and care sector, including publications, events and online professional learning via the ECA Learning Hub. The ECA Learning Hub is an online professional learning platform that offers professional learning and development for educators and other professionals working with young children.
The ECA Learning Hub is designed to help educators gain a thorough and practical understanding of standards, frameworks and research about quality practice. The ECA Learning Hub has worked closely with a number of OSHC experts as well as out of school hours care services in the design and development of all the online professional learning available through the OSHC QDP. This includes online interactive learning modules, webinars, video vignettes and other freely available resources.
