Every Child—Vol. 23 No. 4 2017: A focus on advocacy

Advocacy has been at the heart of ECA’s work since 1938, including consistently promoting the importance of quality and advocating on behalf of young children and families. In this Every Child edition’s guest statement, ECA’s CEO Samantha Page writes about how ECA’s advocacy work permeates everything that we do, from publications, professional learning and research, through to sector development and events.

ECA’s National President, Ros Cornish, talks about advocacy in action, with an example of how recent advocacy by the ECA Tasmania Branch positively influenced and changed the government proposal to lower the school starting age.
