Every Child magazine is aimed at early childhood professionals, families and caregivers. The Publications Committee accepts unsolicited articles for consideration, and invites high-quality contributions on all aspects of the education and care of young children from birth to eight.

Please note: Articles go through a review process by our Publications Committee; we cannot guarantee a submitted article will be printed.

Length

Every Child articles can be two pages (maximum 1000 words) or one page (maximum 500 words).

Topic

We invite authors to submit articles which cover areas such as:

  • child development
  • reconciliation
  • social-emotional
  • sustainability
  • technology
  • health in the early years
  • curriculum
  • pedagogy
  • practice
  • family support/parenting
  • inclusion/diversity
  • transitions
  • management and administration
  • policy/political.

The Publications Committee welcomes suggestions for topics, themed issues and profiles.

Style

We ask that contributors write in a friendly but professional manner, rather than a strict academic style. As we aim to present a bright and attractive magazine that will entertain as well as inform, we encourage you to submit quality images/illustrations for consideration along with the article. All articles will be sub-edited to make sure they conform to our house style.
