The plan aims to ensure that families and carers of these children understand their palliative care options. State and territory news ACT From the start of 2024, the ACT Government will expand the number of sessions available at three of the five Koori Preschools. VIC The Bilingual Kindergarten program is now accepting expressions of interest from eligible early childhood services. The 10 successful services will receive funding to employ an above-ratio language teacher to deliver 12 hours of the 15-hour four-year-old kindergarten program in a language other than English. QLD More than 600 Queenslanders have enquired about becoming a foster carer this year in response to a campaign calling for more carers to open their hearts and homes to vulnerable children. Queensland has more than 6,000 carer families who come from all walks of life, but more are needed to help provide stable and safe homes for at-risk children and young people. View more information. NSW Young people and their families across NSW are set to benefit from wraparound mental health care and wellbeing services with the announcement of four Head to Health Kids Hubs. The Kids Hubs are a $35.8 million joint investment by the Australian and NSW Governments and will provide comprehensive, multi-disciplinary mental health and wellbeing care for children under 12.
