Samantha Dellamarta

Samantha Dellamarta is an experienced leader in the provision of services relating to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Her career history of direct practice, leadership and consulting roles spans a range of government and non-government agencies. Her previous role as the Senior Adviser to the Children & Young People Commissioner with the ACT Human Rights Commission provided the platform that drives her passion around institutional safety for children and young people today.

Sam has led safeguarding projects with local, state and national bodies including Girl Guides Australia, YMCA Australia, Family Day Care Australia (FDCA), the Australian Football League (AFL) and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).

Each opportunity has had significant focus on policy development, education and training, building sustainable safeguarding governance structures, prioritising the voice of children and young people, implementing change at all levels and shifting organisational culture. Sam has a sound knowledge of legislation and best practice on both a local and global scale. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and has qualifications in training and assessment, investigations and auditing.
