- A selection of resources and tools from reputable authorities
- Pre and post-learning surveys
Overview
The program includes four self-paced online learning courses that explore risk and regulatory requirements directly relating to National Quality Standard Quality Areas 2, 3, 4 and 7. The courses in the program cover key topics to support an increased understanding of risk management and its place in governance and leadership, unpacking and exploring the differing roles that service leaders play, or should play, in understanding and managing risk to ensure compliance and quality.
There have been significant child safety reforms both nationally and specific to NSW that strengthen protections for every child in early childhood education and care (ECEC). The reforms introduced the principle of paramountcy which requires all ECEC services to ensure children’s rights and best interests including children’s safety, welfare and wellbeing remain at the heart of all decisions and actions. This includes for corporate entities that children’s rights and best interests must come before profits.
To learn more about the NSW reforms please visit Child safety reforms. Significant reforms are occurring nationally to increase children’s safety in ECEC services. To learn more about the national reforms please go to Child safety – What is changing? | ACECQA.
