Nina Lawrence
Nina Lawrence is a descendant of the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji mob and was born on Yidinji Country in Far North Queensland. Nina is interested in the preservation and promotion of Indigenous Australian languages, and is passionate about access to bilingual development and literacy. Her first children’s book, Clever Crow was inspired by her work in the Northern Territory where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditonal hunting methods are still used.
Bronwyn Bancroft AM
Bronwyn Bancroft AM is a Bundjalung artist, author and pioneer of Aboriginal children’s literature. Since her first publication in 1992, she has released 50 books and exhibited nationally and internationally, with works held in the National Gallery of Australia and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
A founding member of the Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative, she is a strong advocate for artists’ rights and mentoring.
