Chris Shelton
Chris Shelton is a former Scientologist and Sea Org member who is now a writer, consultant, podcaster, YouTuber and advocate for critical thinking. Raised in a Scientology household in California, he formally joined the Church as a teenager and later served for 17 years in the Sea Organization under the leadership of David Miscavige. After leaving in 2012, he publicly spoke out about his experiences and was subsequently declared a “suppressive person” by the Church.
Since then, Chris has dedicated his work to educating the public about Scientology and destructive cults, helping individuals and families recover from undue influence. He hosts the Sensibly Speaking podcast, runs a YouTube channel with over 45,000 subscribers, and has produced hundreds of videos promoting skepticism and critical thinking.
