In 2003/04 the branch partnered the Tasmanian Department of Education to produce the Essential Connections: A Guide to Young Children's Learning. This publication describes significant markers of children's progress, gives delightful snapshots of their learning in action and suggests what the practitioner can do to capitalise and build on these emerging understandings.
In association with the Essential Connections publication, the branch also administers funding for professional development on behalf of the Department of Education for Children's Services Workers.
